Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Tobacco Treatment: Deconstructing Beliefs and Behavioral Change Planning
In this session, cognitive behavioral theory as well as its therapeutic value for addressing tobacco use will be described in brief. Participants will learn strategies for helping people deconstruct positive beliefs about tobacco use and negative beliefs about quitting and collaborative ways to brainstorm and formulate a behavioral coping plan to manage a tobacco quit.
